Podium meadow.

A banked meadow planting with secluded undulating seating and trees on weight bearing points. Take high office cliffs on three sides, mix vicious whipping winds off the sea circulating in the courtyard; add dry springs and harsh summer heat; and finish with a garnish of minimal/no maintenance. Resilient planting that would thrive on neglect was required. Photos after nine years of minimal maintenance.
